From my first meeting in November 2020, I did find Mr Jalgaonkar very approachable, courteous and professional. Having read his profile I knew I was in good care. My operational procedure was explained to me in layman's terms . At all times did I feel reassured and comfortable.

My personal experience of meeting Mr Jalgaonkar was that he put one at ease someone you feel you can trust. His bedside manner was very professional and down to earth. The explanation given was thorough and to the point, one was able to ask questions regarding the type of operation he was to perform, it was really nice to see Mr Jalgaonkar after the surgery to put my mind at ease and to say that the operation went well. I am very pleased with the outcome and having my new Hip has improved my long standing back pain I can go back to doing the things I love such as Pilates, walking and gardening to say but a few.

From my first appointment to the final outpatient appointment I have been fully supported by Mr Jalgaonkar. Every step was explained and all my questions succinctly answered. The total hip replacement operation went as planned, successfully, pain free and fully supported by Mr Jalgaonkar and his team. Once back on the ward the nurses looked after my every need. The physio team had me standing and taking a few steps on Day 1. I was walking and climbing steps with crutches by Day 2. Mr Jalgaonkar visited me after the operation and before my discharge. Under his direction, the hospital doctor, pharmacist, physio and discharge nurse all ensured I was fully briefed to manage my convalescence at home. This was all during Covid-19 and so I am even more grateful that my operation went ahead. Regular physio phone calls and an outpatient appointment with Mr Jalgaonkar confirmed the success of the operation and recovery.

Mr Jalgonkar was very understanding and sympathetic to the pain I was in. He decided that my hip needed replacement first two years ago and then in September it was my knee that was replaced. He fully explained what I was to expect and how to deal with pain afterwards. He kept a check on my recovery and for the first time in over 15 years I am virtually pain free. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Recently underwent a total hip replacement by Mr J. The whole potentially terrifying experience was made so much easier by the completely approachable manner of this very talented surgeon. Mr J treats the patient as a person and I cannot believe that at just 3 weeks post-op I’m pain free and well on the way to being mobile again. Encounters with medical professionals, and especially surgical ones, can be very daunting, but Mr J put me completely at my ease about my operation; I put my trust in him gladly, and he didn’t disappoint. Mr J is a consummate professional, so if you’re at all worried or concerned about your upcoming procedure with him then please don’t be. You’ll get great care -before, during and after - from a top notch surgeon and a very likeable man . Thank you Mr J for restoring my mobility, taking away the hideous pain and giving me back my normality.
