I have been and are currently treated by the Ophthalmology Dept of Chase Farm Hospital. I recently had a eye procedure carried out by and exceptionally caring and competent team lead by consultant Mr. Ameet Shah. Mr. A. Shah took much care in explaining and clarifying all the questions I had before the procedure and the reason for the procedure to be carried out. The attention and care continues with post-operation follow-up appointments with Mr. A Shah, checking on the operation results, required medication and taking care explaining the progress made together with the expected results.

After 10 years of treatment for glaucoma, on Mr Shah's first consultation he suggested a Trabeculectomy which has completely changed my health and saved my eye sight. He gave a thorough explanation of the surgery and after care needed. The surgery and the subsequent monitoring has been superb. Prior to surgery I used many eye drops morning and evening. This has completely stopped, as well as all the side effects such as dry mouth, stinging and itchy eyes.

Appears time is a factor in his decision making, possibly needs to change down a gear, although time restraints on him may not allow this to be viable, very happy to be his patient.

Mr Shar is a very experienced, calm and friendly professional who explains clinical matters explicitly
