Mr. Jibawi is a very, experienced, compassionate and above all caring doctor. When he started treating me, my foot had been signed off for amputation BUT he never gave up to save my foot from amputation, he treated me with fish skin and laser treatment. This intervention was a great rescue to my foot. To tell you the truth, if it wasn’t for the fish skin and laser treatment, I would have lost my foot. Over the course of fourteen years, I had three appointments with three different Vascular Consultants regarding issues that I wanted to investigate concerning my legs. I was told on each occasion, nothing could be done for me. The solutions given to me at the time were 'to cover my legs with foundation cream and to keep my legs covered'! Understandably, I was not convinced, and continued my search for another Vascular Consultant. In July 2020, I met with Dr. Jibawi who after examining my legs, stated immediately, that he believed I had Lymphoedema and I should have a scan. In August of 2020, after undergoing a Lymphoscintigram, I was diagnosed with Lymphoedema in both legs. I decided to start the iLympho Laser Programme treatment that Dr. Jibawi offered, totally trusting his judgement. I commenced the first part of the treatment soon afterwards which lasted six weeks. I currently am continuing with Maintenance Treatment once a month. I experienced positive results early into the treatment with no further swelling in my feet or legs, and even the appearance and condition of the skin tone of my legs had changed and improved. My energy levels also increased during the first six weeks. As I have responded so positively to the treatment, after my Maintenance in April, the likelihood is that I may not need further treatment for another three months. If I continue with this programme, the maintenance will only be required on a sporadic basis. Whilst I understand that Lymphoedema is not curable, I firmly believe that the iLympho Laser Programme is of a huge benefit which could provide hope, and eliminate pain and discomfort to countless patients who suffer from this disease. In my humble opinion, this is a pioneering breakthrough for Vascular Consultants. I really hope that this programme will be embraced and will be made readily available on the National Health Service as well as on a Private Consultancy basis.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Jibawi for helping to resolve my vascular malformation in my foot and improve the subsequent scar tissue healing. Even though the surgical procedure corrected the malformation, I was left with a recovering scar tissue that was very stiff and painful. I’m really glad I went with Mr Jibawi’s recommendation of doing shockwave and laser to help the healing process of the scar tissue. Over the course of the 6 sessions, I have noticed a significant difference in the texture and colouring of the scar left from the surgery. After only two weeks in, I was able to start walking properly without any pain and it only got easier from there. The outer skin around the scar tissue feels incredibly soft and brand new. I feel extremely grateful to have had Mr Jibawi take care of my procedures and the aftercare and hope that others experiencing the same issue that I had, go ahead with healing the scar tissue with laser.

I thought I needed to write and say a big thank you for the fantastic treatment I have received from you particularly in the use of laser treatment. As you may remember I was told over a year ago that nothing could be done about the failing lymphatic glands in my legs and that I would be relegated to wearing surgical stockings for the rest of my life. I may be 79 but that prospect was not ideal, nor the leg ulcers I was promised would be one of the results of that treatment and mindful of my thinning skin. Yet now after only 9 months of your treatments my legs are back to normal, and no more pain! This to me is a miracle, I can now walk, and drive, both of which were impossible when I first came to see you. I would wholeheartedly recommend this treatment for anyone suffering as I have, which has been both disabling and disheartening in equal measure, and very painful.
