Could improve by slowing down and making sure patients understand what is wrong, so they can reflect on it after the consultation too. It’s a lot to absorb in a short appointment. I have seen Mr Imam for my shoulder pain twice. I was told by another surgeon it will need surgery. He said it might be early to go for the surgical option. I was surprised because I went to him with the mindset of having surgery. He showed me that with some strengthening exercises I’ll be better. His team sent me the exercises and to my surprise I was better and simply doing the exercises for few weeks helped significantly. It’s amazingly surprising. He told me that I still might need surgery in the future but we can buy some time with the exercises. I believe in this man and I think I’m getting better and I’m genuinely happy I have seen him. I am still doing the exercises. Fingers crossed, I might not even need surgery. Thanks!!

Mr Imam was recommended to me by my GP and my sister in law who was his patient. He did what she calls magic to her shoulder. I was playing rugby and injured my tendons. I was worried about the surgery as I read about all complications. I have seen Mr Imam at the Lister hospital. He reassured me in no time. He listened to me fully and cared about everything I said.
