Miss Murphy explained the procedure very clearly to me

This was my second time of face to face meetings on the day of my operation, although we have had a couple of telephone conversations. I was surprised that she remembered my personal circumstances regarding my traveling to Dubai to visit my son, and that was 4 years ago. It was comforting to have her attend on the morning of my operation and prepare me the frame to be fitted. She has always be extremely honest and answered all of my concerns. I will give an example of how well she is respected by her colleagues as well. The following morning after my operation I was eager to go to have a shower. When I asked a nurse on the ward where the showers were, the nurse asked me whether I needed any assistance - I said I was able to go by myself. The nurse (not sure whether she was agency) reported at the desk that I was going for a shower. I heard a voice respond saying that I was Ms Murphy’s patient and that she doesn’t like her patients to do anything until they have been seen by a doctor. This was not said in fearful way, more that her instructions are known and clear. This was the final confirmation for me that Ms Murphy is an exceptional consultant and having had experience over the last 7 years (treatment in other hospitals for uterus Cancer) she is absolutely remarkable and outstanding. Can’t praise her strongly enough.
