I was concerned about irregular heartbeats and I am awaiting a NHS referral to a cardiologist. Because of concern over how long this would take due to the pandemic, I looked online and came across 'Many Beats' website. I booked an online appointment on the Friday evening for the very next day which surprised me as it was a Saturday. Dr Joban Sehmi consulted with me via zoom and was able to reassure me that my symptoms were not serious. He was extremely informative, polite and explained to me what ectopic beats are and that I shouldn't worry as this is not uncommon. He explained that periods of stress (physical and emotional), anixety and the menopause (I'm 52), can all contribute to the symptoms I have. He was patient and listened to my concerns. He listened to my doppler recordings I had taken myself which he felt were very helpful. I was not hurried and felt I had time to talk. I felt relieved and reassured. Dr Sehmi is extremely approachable and personable, nothing is too much trouble. His excellent knowledge and expertise is evident. His kind bedside manner during a worrying personal health situation was incredibly reassuring. Dr Sehmi makes things easy to understand going above and beyond. Highly reccomend.
