At our first consultation, Mr Faris was delightful, encouraging and helpful, while being very realistic about the process. By the end of the consultation, we understood things far better than we had during an abortive journey in the NHS where we saw clinical fellows and not consultants. He gave very simple and practical explanations and has been readily available for further advice during the process. This has included text messages and phone calls. Since our initial consultation, our conversations have been more brief and focused, and sometimes more direct than we might have liked. Nonetheless, we have continued to feel fully informed and it's reassuring that he's at the end of a phone.

He is clearly very knowledgeable but communicates this in a digestible way, and made himself available even at 9pm when we needed it. He never made false promises and was able to give us hope despite the obstacles we faced.
