I first met Dr Besherdas around ten years ago after being referred directly to him by my GP. On the initial consultation he reassured me and displayed a calming Dr patient relationship. His diagnosis on that occasion was totally correct. The procedures I underwent demonstrated his skills as a surgeon. A few months ago I was told by GP to see a gastroenterologist, I had no hesitation in contacting Dr Besherdas again. Yet again his comforting manner is still evident, his diagnostic skills have proved correct. Yes another faultless patient journey. A Dr I would not hesitate in referring anyone to.

Dr Besherdas is one of the most professional, knowledgeable and understanding doctor I’ve ever met. He take into consideration his patients thoughts, worries and circumstances. Whilst explaining medical science about the human body and possible conditions you may have or explanations as to why you’re having to visit him, he does so on a level that is easy to understand for non medical people. You always know where you stand and what’s due to happen in the future, regards to possible treatment, procedures or appointments. He makes the whole experience easy and less daunting. Whilst going to visit a consultant is not something you want to be doing, meeting Dr Besherdas was a lovely experience. If I need medical help in the future within his medical field, I will be sure to see him again.

Dr Besherdas has been treating me for various stomach and bowel (gastrointestinal) conditions for the past 5 years, he has always been attentive, professional and clearly an expert in his field and I would wholeheartedly recommend his services should you ever need them, I have the utmost faith in his diagnosis and the required remedy. He has also undertaken both a gastroscopy and colonoscopy on me, I dreaded both, but for absolutely no reason, he made the processes both painless, dignified and allayed all of my concerns, whilst accurately diagnosing my condition.

Great diagnosis and treatment. Had an obscure problem that that I feared was cancerous but turned out to be an inflammation of my ileum. Soon reassured that it was easily treated without surgery and this has been successful. A delightful doctor that I can highly recommend.

I have been under the care of Dr Besherdas for over 10 years managing my ulcerative colitis and I would highly recommend him for his knowledge and expertise, but also his kind, caring and approachable manner. He is an excellent doctor/consultant.

I had been suffering with a number of IBS symptoms. He recommended and performed a number of tests - and I knew I was in safe hands. All tests carry risks but I felt comfortable knowing he was the one performing them. A complete professional, highly experienced and with a great friendly manner. He has a lovely bedside manner and given this and my trust in him, when my mother required an endoscopy I did all I could to ensure she was seen by him. He is also concise in his diagnosis. Highly recommended.

When referred by my GP for difficulty in swallowing I was given the option to choose a consultant specialising in dysphagia and found Mr. Besherdas’ resume impressive. During my first consultation he methodically explained the process to enable accurate diagnosis of my symptoms starting with a gastroscopy, barium swallow and concluding with an oesophageal manometry & 24 hr Ph. & impedance test. He discussed the test results in depth and provided long term resolution for my symptoms. I would highly recommend Mr Berhserdas in his area of expertise.

From the moment I was referred to him, Dr Besherdas has taken the very best care of me. He is very easy to talk to and keeps up to date with all the latest research so I can always trust his advice. I have recommended him to other family members.

Dr Besherdas is always very helpfull. He has time to listen to any problems you might have and makes what may be a not very nice experience as good as possible

Dr Besherdas is a caring skilled physician who has taken excellent care of me since 2003 He takes time to talk and even to joke. His diligent care has kept me in remission for years ( I have crohns)
