I was feeling apprehensive when I visited Dr Fazal as my recent blood pressure readings had been high. I was immediately put at ease and after we had discussed my concerns and checked my blood pressure he arranged for a 24 hour heart monitor , 24 hour blood pressure monitor and an echocardiogram. He explained that these procedures would enable him to investigate what was happening and decide what treatment was required going forward. Fortunately the results were better than anticipated and he explained in detail the findings, showing me the results that had been obtained on a screen. Apart from an additional blood pressure tablet no further action needed to be taken. I felt reassured after my appointment with Dr Fazal and confident that my concerns had been investigated fully. I will arrange for a further appointment in six months time to keep a check on my blood pressure with every confidence I am in good hands.

Dr Fazal provided thorough tests, to check what might’ve been causing my symptoms, he was also very reassuring during the course of these tests, and provided a comprehensive report about the results of these tests which left me feeling very at ease. I would highly recommend Dr Fazal to others, and I really appreciate the time and effort he instilled during my time with him.

In January I started suffering from episodes of high heart rate upon standing and collapsing I was admitted to hospital and sent out with no clue what was happening to me Doctors wanted to put it down as anxiety, but I’d never suffered before and it really wasn’t making sense so I decided to research a local cardiologist that had experience with problem of high heart rate/POTS/blackouts. I’m so glad I found dr Fazal, I can’t tell you how much this has changed my life seriously. When I first seen him I could stand I had to be wheelchaired into his office. After exploring the diagnosis of PoTs my symptoms started to make sense and I was given the medication and support needed. I would highly recommend him to others, he made me feel at ease and even though he was straight talking and I knew my life was about to change dramatically, he also gave me a positive to take from it. It was suggested due to my collapsing I would have a loop recorder fitted. At first I was very nervous having this procedure but it took 30mins didn’t hurt and gives me piece of mind I’m being monitored. I have a great admiration for The NHS, but going private was the best decision I made. People aren’t being diagnosed with PoTs fir the average time of 7 years but I was in 4 months and now I’m learning to live the best I can and staying positive. Dr Iftikhar Fazal from the spire Nottingham has been a fantastic help and I can’t thank him and his team enough.

Dr Fazal took my issue of ectopic heartbeats seriously and provided a clear explanation about the tests I was to undergo. He provided reassurance throughout the process and ensured that I was appraised of all the information I needed. I have felt very well looked after under Dr Fazal's medical care.

I went to see Dr Fazal worried about my breathlessness. He was very understanding of my anxiety and very promptly arranged a heart scan and diagnosed me with heart failure. This was frightening but his calm, clear and reassuring explanations put me at ease. After starting medication my breathlessness improved but the pump function was still poor and I needed to have a special pacemaker/defibrillator fitted. He gave me plenty of time to think about things and answered my questions before and during the procedure. It all went very well on the day and I recovered very quickly. The pacemaker wound healed extremely well and my heart is now pumping much better. Can't thank Dr Fazal enough for his expertise, particularly fitting the defibrillator

Dr Fazal was very approachable. He was very thorough and explained the options for further investigations clearly. Following my echocardiogram he contacted me promptly to discuss the results.

I sought Dr Fazal's opinion, concerned that my discharge notes from A&E did not fully address my heart issues. The first thing he recommended was a thorough baseline assessment, to gather data and better inform his decisions. I felt this to be a very sensible and reassuring approach. Dr Fazal fully explained all the procedures and their results as we went along. Once he had all the data he needed, he discussed the possible options for treatment now and in the future. He then adjusted my medication and has stabilised my condition, such that I feel back to my old self again and have a better idea of what the future holds. I can highly recommend Dr Fazal - he treated me with the utmost respect throughout, and no question or concern was too small.

Dr Fazal provided exceptional care from our first consultation right the way through to discharge. His clear explanations and descriptions of any tests and outcomes was very reassuring. His communication was excellent throughout and he responded to any queries quickly and directly. I cannot thank or recommend Dr Fazal enough.

Dr Fazal was very understanding of my terrible nerves regarding having my loop recorder fitted, and explained every step before he did it, I shouldn't have been concerned because it all went really well, and was definitely not something I needed to be so worried about, although i think Dr Fazal helped with that. The wound itself healed so fast, and i hardly had any pain after, minor bruising but nothing unexpected as everything had been explained to me. When I visited for a wound review the nurse commented that it was healing beautifully and was the best one she had seen in a long time.

It was lovely actually speaking to someone face to face about health problems as my current Doctors are only doing telephone consultations. I found Dr Fazal so easy and understanding to talk to and he fully understood what my issues were. I would fully recommend him for his professionalism
