I was referred to Dr Ian Stone to investigate the possibility of obstructive sleep apnea affecting my sleep. Dr Stone was easily approachable, concise and thorough. Within a week of contacting Dr Stone, I was able to perform an at home sleep study and I received the results very quickly. I am extremely pleased with the experience and I wouldn't hesitate seeing Dr Stone again should any problems arise in the future!

Throughout my experience from hospital to post treatment, I have found Dr. Stone and his team very helpful and explained things very clearly. Even when I was given test, I was given clear instructions on what to do. I had a collapsed lung when I visited Northwick Park where Dr. Stone was my consultant. He made sure that I was aware of my condition. When I was sent to Hammersmith for my operation, I saw Dr Stone for my post operation consultant and again he made sure that I had 100% care from himself and his team. The NHS has been a blessing in my life.

Dr Ian Stone is the most caring, competent and considerate Doctor that my elderly mother has ever seen. During the pandemic when I was unable to accompany my elderly mother to the consultation he allowed me to be on speaker phone to hear the consultation. This was most helpful as my mother is a poor historian. His diagnosis was accurate and he set us on the correct path to helping mum. Can’t praise him enough. Thanks Dr Stone!

I had two consultations with Dr Stone in which he came across as very friendly, yet professional and experienced. In my first consultation, he explained the potential causes of my issues in a simple but informative way, and recommended a polygraphy sleep study which was arranged within a week as I was told. No concerns from me, would definitely book Dr Stone again in the future!

In my consultation with Dr Stone I found his approach empathetic and genuine. He did not rush me and took the time to understand not just the issue I was referred to him for but the wider picture. He asked relevant probing questions about other issues that may even indirectly be contributing to the issue I was consulting him for and, in the process gave me valuable advise and suggestions. Finally, Dr Stone left me feeling that he was genuinely interested in my wellbeing and I was in safe hands. My overall experience of talking to Dr Stone was very reassuring and pleasant . Note: My consultation was over the phone but I had to rate bedside manners as well because the system would not allow me to leave it blank. Based on my other experience, I had no hesitation in giving 5 stars to Dr Stone there too.

Explanation

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Ian Stone, when I accompanied my elderly mother when she was diagnosed with sleep apnoea. I was not in a good frame of mind , as the hospital proclaimed my mothers' appt had been rescheduled and we were not made aware of this. However, upon resolve, when my mother was seen by Dr Stone, his attention to her diagnosis was disarming. He seemed genuinely interested and vested in doing his best to understand and attend to her complaint. After many years of hospital and Drs appointments he expeditiously and caringly issued her a CPAP and she proclaimed that for the first time in years she had a good nights sleep. We are ever so grateful for his manner and genuine concern to be of help. His diagnosis has altered my mothers life. Its rare to come across his level of care and attention, especially since my mothers English is broken. He paid attention and made the concerted effort to understand. He is a true credit to the NHS.
