Very good specialist in allergy. Have been suffering from polyps and rhinitis for decades. Dr Kariyawasam has been able to put a proper diagnostic when many other specialists failed to do so. He has also been able to come up with a treatment which is very effective. Not only Dr Kariyawasam is professional but he is always very kind and available.

For many years, I have suffered from asthma, rhinitis and eczema and while it was kept under control by a cocktail of medication, they were still causing me a great deal of discomfort, particularly the rhinitis. I was recommended to see Dr Harsha Kariyawasam and it certainly changed my short and long term health dramatically. I am very impressed personally by Dr Kariyawasam. He is thorough, takes his time and explains very well why he is giving me medication and what one can hope to achieve. It has been my experience all too often that consultants do not like taking their time to explain why they are recommending a course of action. I can definitely recommend anyone with similar problems to consult with him.

My experience with Dr Harsha was everything that’s good about medicine. He is beyond an expert in his field, he explains everything so well, with so much detail and with so much patience. He knows exactly the questions to ask, he is thoughtful, human, and kind, and most importantly excellent at what he does. After seeing a few different doctors over the years, Dr Kariyawasam listened to my concerns about my husband and we finally got a diagnosis about his conditions. I have been seeing Dr Kariyawasam for a number of years. I have always found his advice to be clear, concise and accurate. He is aware of the latest developments in the field and responds to my questions accordingly. His appointments never feel time-pressured and he is willing to explain exactly what he is proposing and why. I would highly recommend Dr Kariyawasam to other asthma patients.

Dr Kariyawasam is a doctor that cares overall about my health, in addition to my breathing difficulty. He very thoughtfully, originally referred me to a cardiologist, who out of my choice, unfortunately due to Covid I have decided not to travel to see as I am hardly travelling, only for food. Recently I had another appointment with Dr Kariyawasam and explained this to him and he said that I am clinically vulnerable and should be proritised for a Covid vaccine, I had already contacted my GP's surgery, who had not replied, Mr Kariyawasam's team sent a letter to me on the same day, which I forwarded on to my GP's surgery and then called them the next day. On the same day my GP's surgery confirmed I was in the clinically vulnerable group and would receive the vaccine in the next few weeks. Now the date is the 22nd January 2021. In regards to my breathing problem Dr Kariyawasam prescribed two nasal sprays which do help both with congestion and enlarging my nasal airways and lung airways. My issue is I have very small airways and therefore he also recommended a surgeon. This doctor really cares about the big picture of my overall health. Excellent care in every respect.

Following nearly 20 years of treatment that failed to find a workable way of managing my condition I was finally referred to Dr Kariyawasam. From the start I have found he has been very sympathetic, knowledgeable and thorough in his Investigation, which very quickly resulted in the main problem being identified and he followed this up with a Management plan which actually worked, a great relief after so many years. This level of care and attention has continued through every visit and along with his friendly manner I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The first time that I met Dr Kariyawasam he diagnosed a long term condition that was becoming a serious threat to me. The cause of my symptoms and the threat that the condition posed had not been recognised for over 20 years whilst receiving care elsewhere. He provided excellent treatment and follow up care. He has a friendly and caring manner, and clearly desired the best care possible for me.
