After having total hip replacement surgery carried out on both hips over the past 14 months I cannot recommend Mr Sheeraz and his team at the Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes highly enough. From the initial consultation through the surgery and the following physiotherapy and after care Mr Sheeraz instilled me with great confidence in the abilities of himself and his team. Explaining the cause of my discomfort (chronic arthritis) the requirement for the procedures to be carried out, along with the improvement to my mobility that I could expect following on from the procedures being completed. This was done professionally yet clearly and comfortably enough for a person from a non medical background ike myself to understand leaving me in no way feeling apprehensive prior to having the operation. I would particularly like to thank Mr Sheeraz for his amazing dedication to his patients after he even made time to book me in for an after care appointment and came to the surgery to see me during his time off on annual leave. This is far above and beyond the expectations of anyone in my opinion. Now a little over two months on from having the second hip replaced I am pleased to say that I am feeling great and i have now returned to leading what was a sorely missed healthy and active lifestyle. Mr Sheeraz was very reassuring throughout the process of having both of my hips replaced, something that I had previously been quite apprehensive about. Mr Sheeraz was very easy to talk to about my condition, he knew the best course of treatment for me. Having a hip replacement at 47 years old was an unfortunate situation to be in. Being a very active person it was quite challenging to live a normal life, up until my diagnosis and plan of action with Mr Sheeraz. It was extremely important to me that I could return to my normal life which includes regular exercise, which I’m happy to say I have now. I am 7 weeks post operation and I am feeling better than I have in many years.

I am just one of the hundreds of people who must be so thankful for Ashan’s special skills and words cannot begin to express my gratitude to him. I have generally forgotten that I have had a THR in May and today have been on holiday hiking and wild swimming in the Scottish Highlands as if nothing had ever happened. But I do not take any of this for granted and feel so privileged to have been in the care of Mr Sheeraz, a truly great orthopaedic surgeon who gave me the confidence to get on with life!

Had a knee operation, everything was discussed in detail, I felt so at ease from start to finish.
