I usually arrive early as parking is a nightmare. Always helpful staff .

I attended an appointment with Mr Somani early last year as the last appointment at the end of his day. I had a very rushed appointment, and he couldn't wait to get me out of the room and into some tests. I had follow up questions, but he was in a rush to leave the hospital, and I'm not sure the appointment provided me with any information. I was expecting to receive the results of a urine test and follow up information in a letter from Mr Somani which never arrived. Following this, I asked to pay several times for his services (begrudgingly) via debit card, but each time his staff said that their card machine doesn't work. I still hadn't received test results and still haven't almost a year on. I eventually paid for his services when receiving an unsolicited debt collectors letter, yet am still none the wiser having received no advice about my condition. My GP recommended him as the expert for kidney stones, but exceptional skill should not be an excuse for a bad service.

Excellent consultants who took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis and quickly refer me to a specialist consultant (more appropriate to my diagnosis).

Overall, my visits for consultations and for my TURP operation were a good experience. However, I didn't realise that the time from being admitted for the procedure to when I actually went to theatre would be so long (about 4 hours). It would have been helpful if this delay had been advised on my arrival at the hospital.
