Prompt check-in, followed by very competent and pleasant Phlebotomist. Thereafter usually a brief wait for Consultant appt.

Excellent all the time

My visit on the 22 Aug for blood test was excellent. Alex is an asset to the centre. With regards to my confirmed face to face appointment with Dr Kyriacou yesterday 30th Aug. is totally the opposite. Not sure where the centre is heading to after the excellent service I got from both Prof Anthony Goldstone and Prof. Stephen McKinnon. I waited to see Dr Kyriacou for hour only to be told I can have a telephone meeting which did not materialise. Secretaries do not answer the phone and I was even told that they could not answer or did not as they are in meetings. This is not the private McMillan centre. Where are you heading with such service ? I even asked if Dr Kyriacou is not interested in having me as a private patient.

My experience so far has been wonderful. Given that the circumstances are not ideal, the whole team (the doctors, nurses, everyone) have been so supportive and understanding. No question I asked was too silly and no request I wanted was too great. A phenomenal team!

All was good during my last visit. Had some issues the first time I went to start my treatment back in May, but it has been all ok since

Apart from the wait time, & delay with my drugs, the overall experience was good

My nurse April was so kind and supportive and understanding. The catering was disappointing, my gluten free sandwich was barely edible, and getting water or other drinks through the day was difficult. I wasn’t offered to clean my hands after using the commode. But the nursing care was so excellent, I felt safe during a stressful experience. I hadn’t been given a phone number to contact the department as I was running late due to the tube strike and none of the office numbers were answering at 7.30am , so that made a stressful journey even worse as I couldn’t let them know, but they were very understanding about me arriving nearly 2h late.
