A little bittersweet considering why we are there. But the doctors and nurses are all so friendly and helpful. They make you feel at ease and of course give you hope.

Extremely happy with my IVF , specially with DR Tarek. Dr Tarek has been nothing but amazing to us . He made my dream come true and I am now 13 weeks pregnant after 5 miscarriages.

Excellent experience. Tarek El-Toukhy showed a huge amount of dedication and care. Extremely responsive, always friendly, always clear.

Overall I felt very looked after under the care of Jan Grace who was always available to answer questions. Her and the staff helped me through the process which is often very stressful and added a sense of calm and safety.

Dr El-Toukhy was as expected as came highly recommended. His manner is impeccable and he is straight taking but warm at the same time. I now have his mobile number but before this getting hold of the unit is a nightmare.

We had a very long wait to get our first IVF consultation with the ACU - our results were lost a couple of times, and then Lockdown happened, all in all from our referral to our first IVF cycle was 18months which was too long and caused us distress after already trying to conceive for 12 months prior. However once we were seen and starting our IVF cycle I was blown away by the care, compassion and service of the ACU department. Excellent communication and explanations at every step of the way. I felt safe, cared for, and listened to. Even though I can see they are extremely busy time was always taken to ensure things were handled properly, and tailored to our specific situation. We have now left a different (private) clinic to continue privately with Guy’s and St Thomas’ ACU. There’s still a long road ahead, and of course no guarantee of success, but both myself and my husband believe this to be the best decision, we feel in safe hands and have confidence in the ACU team at Guy’s and St Thomas that they will do all they can to help us, we would definitely recommend.
