Dr Zain Sharif

Dr Zain Sharif is a consultant cardiologist with a particular interest in cardiac electrophysiology. He obtained his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his basic medical training at the Mater Hospital. He then pursued higher specialist training in cardiology at Cork, Tallaght, and Beaumont Hospitals. Dr Sharif further enhanced his expertise by undertaking a two-year subspecialty fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School's largest affiliated hospital.

Accredited in cardiology and echocardiography by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and in cardiac implantable electronic devices by the European Heart Rhythm Association, Dr Sharif is a respected speaker for organisations such as the Irish Heart Foundation, the Irish Cardiac Society, and the American College of Cardiology. His research has been published in international peer-reviewed journals, including Circulation EP, the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and Heart Rhythm O2, and he frequently presents his work at national and international conferences, including meetings of the ESC and the Heart Rhythm Society in the US.
