Triona Culliton

Triona Culliton is a highly experienced optometrist based in Ireland, currently practising with the Medical Optics clinical group across its Dublin and Wicklow locations. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Optometry and is a Fellow of the Association of Optometrists Ireland (FAOI). She previously served as President of the Association of Optometrists Ireland.

Alongside her clinical practice, Ms Culliton is a respected voice in Irish eye health advocacy and regularly contributes to national discussions on public health and vision care. She has highlighted the significant challenges facing patients, including gaps in children's eye care services and prolonged waiting times for public cataract surgery, advocating for earlier intervention and improved access to specialist ophthalmic services to help prevent avoidable vision loss. ghg

At Medical Optics, Ms Culliton provides comprehensive optometric assessments and supports patients throughout every stage of their eye care journey, from initial diagnosis to ongoing monitoring and referral where appropriate. She plays an important role in the clinic's advanced cataract service by helping patients understand their treatment options, preparing them for surgery, and providing post-operative care, with the shared goal of restoring vision, improving independence, and enhancing overall quality of life.
