Dr Ronan Ryan

Dr Ronan Ryan is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. They are the current clinical lead of cardiothoracic surgery at St James's Hospital. Dr Ryan also holds the position of senior clinical lecturer at Trinity College Dublin.

Dr Ryan received their honours medical degree from University College Dublin (UCD) in 1998. They completed their basic surgical training in Dublin and then undertook the Irish Higher Surgical Training Scheme. Following this, they passed the intercollegiate exam for the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (CTh). Dr Ryan then went on to complete a Thoracic Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in the USA. In 2010, they became a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon. Dr Ryan is a member of the Cardiothoracic Training Committee of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
