About Dr Peter Keenan
Dr Peter Keenan is an experienced orthodontist originally from Newry, Co. Down, who has been caring for patients across Galway, Mayo and the surrounding communities since 1999.
He graduated with his dental degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 1992 and worked in private general dental practice until 1997. He then pursued postgraduate specialist training in orthodontics in the United States at the University of Iowa, completing the University of Iowa Orthodontic Program in 1999.
Dr Keenan is an Invisalign® Certified Provider and is recognised as one of the leading Invisalign providers in Ireland. His clinical expertise includes early orthodontic intervention for children as well as the management of complex orthodontic and orthognathic surgery cases in adults.
He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Irish Academy of American Graduate Dental Specialists, the Orthodontic Society of Ireland, and the Irish Dental Association.

He's got good humour but also cares that you get the best out of your experience and end up with perfect teeth. His instructions are clear and he’s very professional, my appointments are smooth and enjoyable because of this.
