Areas of expertise
With over 20 years of clinical experience, my focus has always been the same: understanding why the body has stopped healing and finding the most effective way to restore it.
Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, I specialise in identifying the underlying mechanical, neurological, hormonal and functional patterns that contribute to pain, injury and chronic health conditions. Every patient presents with a unique story, and I believe their treatment should reflect that.
My particular passion is women's health. I work with women through every stage of life—from fertility preparation and pregnancy to postpartum recovery, pelvic floor rehabilitation and menopause. These transitions place extraordinary demands on the body, yet many women are told that pain, weakness or hormonal changes are simply something they have to accept. I don't believe that's the case.
My approach combines advanced Tung's Orthodox Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, movement assessment, biomechanics and rehabilitation principles into a single, personalised treatment plan. By integrating these disciplines rather than relying on one therapy alone, I aim to improve function, reduce pain and support long-term recovery.
I also have a special interest in complex musculoskeletal conditions, persistent pain and movement dysfunction, particularly when previous treatments have provided only temporary relief. By assessing how the entire body moves and adapts, I often uncover contributing factors that may otherwise go unnoticed.
As co-founder of Aim to Recover, my goal has been to create a multidisciplinary environment where patients can access collaborative, patient-centred care under one roof. I firmly believe that the best outcomes come from combining expertise across disciplines while keeping each person's goals at the centre of every treatment plan.
Throughout my career I have had the privilege of helping thousands of patients with conditions including:
Above all, I believe healthcare should be about more than reducing symptoms. It should restore confidence, improve movement, support resilience and help people return to living the lives they want.
My philosophy is simple:
Find the cause.
Treat the whole person.
Support the body's ability to recover.

€90My recent visit was in relation to a knee injury as always excellent treatment totally professionally. Always feel improvement after each visit and excellent outcome in relation to a difficult injury.
I went to Paul with a nerve issue a few months ago and he was incredibly understanding and knowledgeable. He treated me not just with acupuncture but with exercises I could do at home and made sure I understood exactly what was happening. Not only did it resolve my issue but I felt in safe, experienced hands throughout the whole process. I couldn’t recommend him more
Great service! I emailed very last minute for an appointment when I was over due with my 3rd son (had used Paul on my first son also!). Paul got me in for treatment within 8 hours and I went into labour 36 hours later!
