Ms Orna Doran

Ms Orna Doran is an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who provides therapeutic support across practices in Dublin and Wicklow. She employs an integrative approach to mental health, drawing on established modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to tailor treatment to the individual. As an Accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), she provides one-to-one counselling for adults and students, with a particular focus on addressing anxiety, stress, phobias and other challenges affecting emotional wellbeing.

Beyond general counselling, she has developed a particular focus on the complex emotional impacts of life transitions and health-related crises. Her work is centred on helping individuals understand and manage difficult emotions, develop practical coping strategies, and navigate periods of significant personal change.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, she holds a BSc and Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and incorporates a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques into her practice. Her integrative approach allows her to draw from different therapeutic frameworks according to each individual's circumstances, concerns and goals. She works with adults and students on a one-to-one basis, providing structured therapeutic support for a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
