Ms Mary Malone

Ms Mary Malone is a psychotherapist and pet grief counsellor, trained at the Flatstone Institute as a humanistic integrative practitioner. She offers a confidential therapeutic space where clients feel accepted and free from judgement.

Mary works with clients both in person and virtually, her office for in person sessions is located in Cork City, Ireland. 

She works alongside clients to help them feel heard, seen and supported, gently exploring both past experiences and present challenges to build deeper self-understanding and create meaningful change in everyday life. Establishing a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is central to her work.

Mary has experience supporting individuals and families through a wide range of difficulties, including addiction, recovery and relapse, and the impact of addiction on loved ones. She also works with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, developmental trauma, grief, fear, relationship difficulties and the many challenges that arise in daily life. Her approach includes cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), addiction counselling, family therapy and grief counselling.

Alongside her general psychotherapy practice, Mary has a particular passion for supporting those grieving the loss of a beloved pet. With a deep love and respect for animals, she understands the profound bond people share with their pets and provides a dedicated, empathetic space to process this often overlooked form of grief.
