Ms Marie McCarthy

Ms Marie McCarthy is a psychotherapist and a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP). She completed her Master’s degree in Psychotherapy at Dublin Business School in 2017 and works with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties across adult populations.

Marie supports clients experiencing challenges such as childhood-related trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, bereavement, loss, life transitions, and anger management. Her practice is grounded in the belief that both the body and mind hold innate capacities for healing, and she incorporates this awareness into her therapeutic work to help clients develop more manageable and meaningful ways of living.

Her approach is integrative, drawing from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet the needs of each individual. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt Therapy, Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, Person-Centred Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. By combining these frameworks, Marie offers structured yet flexible therapeutic support aimed at long term personal development.

Marie’s work centres on creating a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore their experiences at a pace that suits them, with the goal of enhancing overall wellbeing and psychological resilience.
