About Ms Laura Gallagher

Laura Gallagher is an IACP-accredited psychotherapist, life coach, and the founder of Peace Together Psychotherapy. She specialises in supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or are seeking meaningful personal change and emotional growth.

Laura qualified as a psychotherapist in 2018. Following graduation, she spent several years as a full-time mother, an experience that significantly influenced her understanding of emotional wellbeing, identity, personal development, and the challenges of modern life. In 2021, she returned to clinical practice and established Peace Together Psychotherapy, creating a supportive, person-centred therapeutic environment focused on healing, self-discovery, and lasting positive change.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to the individual needs of each client rather than relying on a single treatment model. She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and trauma-informed practice. Where appropriate, she incorporates coaching strategies to help clients develop practical skills and achieve personal goals.

In addition to her psychotherapy qualifications, Laura holds diplomas in Life Coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), which she completed during the COVID-19 lockdown period. She is committed to ongoing professional development and continually expands her knowledge and skills to enhance the support she provides.

Laura has experience working with clients facing a wide variety of emotional, psychological, and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, relationship difficulties, ADHD, autism, body image concerns, and issues relating to self-confidence and personal identity.

Her practice is grounded in empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. She is known for her strong listening skills and people-focused approach, helping clients develop greater self-awareness, resilience, self-trust, and emotional wellbeing. Through Peace Together Psychotherapy, Laura aims to provide a safe and supportive space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward at a pace that feels right for them.

I am finding that we are focusing on me. I have a habit of focusing on the other person who is the reason I’m in therapy. Of course we have talked about the situation but the focus is on me and how I am feeling and what I can do to move forward. The sessions have been emotional but comforting at the same time.
