I am a trauma-informed, and neuro-affirmative art psychotherapist based in Dublin - fully accredited and registered through the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists. (IACAT)
I work individually with a diverse range of clients and also provide parental/primary caregiver support in developing and facilitating behavioural development plans and emotional regulation. As part of my ongoing practice, I work closely with families in supporting whole - family wellbeing. I am passionate about helping families improve relational dynamics, working together where they are at in life - in a non-judgemental and compassionate manner. The respect and humility of all clients, whatever their circumstances, is at the core of my practice.
I have worked in the specialised area of A.S.D. for over ten years, dealing with emotional and behavioural concerns.Working with children, teenagers, and adults, I provide one-on-one therapy tailored to the unique needs of each client. Where appropraite, adopting a neurodiversity-affirming approacht recognises and values different ways of thinking, communicating, and experiencing the world. I believe that understanding and supporting individuals in a safe and nurturing space is essential. Through play, art, and sand therapy, I provide a window into client’s inner worlds, facilitating the safe expression of feelings such as anxiety, sadness, and distress. This therapeutic approach promotes deeper connections and encourages emotional presence, ultimately fostering resilience and well-being. I also work in a more traditional talk - therapy capacity - where verbal communication is more appropraite and accessible to the client. My sessions are always client led with an emphasis on exploration of individual experiences, building resilience and achieving meaningful personal growth.
Through my professional development, I have integrated a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches into my practice - including art therapy, compassion-focused therapy, integrative psychotherapy, and neurodivergent coaching. By combining creative expression with psychological insight, I hsupport clients in developing greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, confidence, and wellbeing.
With an emphasis on a trauma-informed therapy, my practice ensures that each session and client is met with sensitivity, collaboration, and respect, empowering clients to work at their own pace while feeling heard and understood. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life's challenges, whether navigating trauma, emotional difficulties, neurodivergence, or periods of transition and self-discovery.
