Kate is an experienced and qualifed Integrative Psychotherapist. She has over eighteen years experience of working across the fields of psychotherapy and social care (youth work, familuy support). Kate is a fully accredited member of IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy).

She holds an Masters degree and a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy from the University of Limerick, a Masters and Bachelors degree in Psychological Studies, and a Diploma in Counselling Studies.

Kate has worked therapeutically with individuals, children, adolescents, and families across diverse backgrounds and cultures. Her professional experience spans both private practice and various social care and family support settings. She specialises in attachment-focused modalities and has completed extensive additional trainings in this area for working with children, adolescents, and adults, including parents.

In addition to her formal academic qualifications, Kate has undertaken a wide range of evidence-based professional development. Her further training includes the Circle of Security, Sensory Attachment Integration, Marte Meo, Trauma-Informed approaches, and the Non-Violent Resistance model. These approaches inform her therapeutic work with children, young people, and families.

Kate practices from an integrative framework, drawing on multiple psychotherapeutic approaches to tailor support to each individual’s needs. She primarily works from psychodynamic and existential perspectives, with a strong foundation in attachment theory.
