Mr Joseph Browne

Mr Joseph Browne is an experienced Hearing Aid Audiologist with over 15 years in clinical audiology practice. Before entering the field, he worked for 12 years as a Senior IT Engineer, bringing strong technical expertise to his work in advanced digital hearing technology.

Joseph graduated from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge with a degree in Hearing Aid Audiology and subsequently completed an MSc in Advanced Audiology at University College Cork. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and is an active member of the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (ISHAA). He regularly undertakes continuing professional development to remain at the forefront of developments in audiology and digital hearing systems.

Since 2010, Joseph has been the Clinical Audiologist at the Galway Clinic, where he runs weekly audiology clinics in collaboration with two busy ENT Consultants. In addition, since 2013 he has worked part-time as a locum audiologist with HSE West, contributing to public audiology services.

In 2013, he was runner-up in the ‘Irish Audiologist of the Year’ award, a national competition recognising excellence among private practitioners in Ireland. Joseph is also the Company Director of Galway Hearing Care, overseeing its day-to-day clinical and operational management while continuing to deliver patient-focused, evidence-based hearing care.
