I saw Dr. Hepburn for a meniscus repair surgery. This wasn’t my first knee surgery, so I was quite anxious about having another surgery performed on the knee which just underwent surgery in the previous year. Dr Hepburn took the time to explain everything in detail. One thing that really stood out for me as a female athlete was his knowledge and interest about female knee injuries. I felt very supported throughout the whole process and am making a great recovery so far. Would definitely come back to Dr. Hepburn (but I hope I don’t have to!).

In the past 5 weeks I have had a total hip replacement under Mr James Hepburn and I can’t believe the results , the care I received, from the first consultation , all the way through to the operation and also after the operation and recovery process , the level of care , professionalism, and dedication from Mr Hepburn was outstanding, and I can’t ever thank him and also his team and staff enough . Mr Hepburn is a gentleman and in my opinion the surgical skill of this man is unmatched. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with dr Hepburn. And anyone that finds themselves in the position I was in and even if your a bit younger in your 20, s 30s or 40s like me the difference these surgeries can make to someone’s life is night and day . Great. No complaints

Mr James Hepburn did a partial right knee replacement for me in the Mater Private Hospital on 7th July 2026. From my very first consultation with Mr Hepburn, he put me at ease and explained in detail what the problem was and why I would only need a partial replacement. Six weeks post operation I had my final consultation with Mr. Hepburn and I am delighted to say that I have made an excellent recovery and he has signed me off fit and well. I highly recommend Mr. Hepburn for the wonderful care and attention I received.

Mr.Hepburn was very professional, very kind, caring and very empathetic., He answered all my questions and reassured me with any concerns that I had.
