About Helen Mill

Helen Mill is a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist (MIAHIP) and Couples Counsellor based in Dublin, offering therapy in person and online, in English and Spanish. She works with adults and couples who feel stuck, disconnected, or worn down by patterns that repeat under stress.

Much of Helen’s work focuses on relationships, with others and with oneself, and on how communication, trust, emotional regulation, sexuality, identity, and unspoken expectations shape connection and wellbeing. She works in a way that is tailored to each individual or couple, recognising that no two experiences or needs are the same.

Helen’s approach is warm, direct, and non-judgemental. She works at a careful, realistic pace, taking time to understand what is happening beneath the surface rather than rushing people towards solutions. Therapy is collaborative and grounded in lived experience, rather than following a fixed technique or formula.

She works with both individuals and couples in private practice and organisational settings, with ongoing clinical supervision. Helen has a particular interest in neurodiversity, including adult ADHD, and in how differences in attention, emotional intensity, and processing can affect emotional wellbeing and relationships.

Alongside her clinical training, Helen brings a long-standing background in education, mentoring, and facilitating learning and wellbeing across a range of settings. Since 2008, she has worked with children, young people, and adults in schools, universities, and community organisations, often alongside psychologists and multidisciplinary teams. This experience continues to inform her therapeutic work, particularly in creating thoughtful, inclusive spaces and working with people at different stages of life and with diverse lived experiences.

I have been going to Helen for over a year and she has helped me immensely. I didn’t know how much progress could be made in therapy and she helped me get there. She is always kind, warm and welcoming and took me through at my own pace. I always feel supported and heard at her sessions.

Helen is my confidant. I always come out lighter after our sessions. I always thought i had one way of looking at life. There are other ways too and she makes me see them. Think about them.

Helen guided me through numerous challenges I had encountered. There wasn’t a day I left there that I didn’t feel better than I had arrived. Even a simple chat made me feel better. Always guiding me to find the answer myself, helped with self confidence and gave me the tools to manage and cope in these situations.

Relationship Health Month: Free Relationship Health Checks

Relationship Health Month: Free Relationship Health Checks

February is recognised as Relationship Health Month, a time to focus on the role our relationships play in our overall wellbeing. This year, Relationship Care is offering free Relationship Health Checks to encourage people to seek support early when relationships feel under strain. Our relationships have a significant impact on our mental health. Many people wait until difficulties feel overwhelming before reaching out, but early support can help prevent problems from escalating. These conversations can help people understand patterns in communication, conflict, and life pressures, and consider what support may strengthen connection and wellbeing. Every relationship brings together two distinct worlds. Each person carries their own history, habits, and ways of coping. The work is not about becoming the same, but about learning where we can meet, what differences we can accept, and how to stay connected while being ourselves. These free check-ins are open to anyone, whether single, dating, or in a partnership, who may be experiencing difficulties or uncertainty in their relationships. They offer a supportive first step toward counselling where further support may be helpful. More information about services is available on the Relationship Care website: https://relationshipcare.ie/counselling/
