Ms Grainne Conlon is a qualified psychotherapist and acupuncturist practicing at Acorn Acupuncture and Acorn Counselling. Her work is rooted in a Person-Centred approach, creating a supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences and develop greater self-awareness. Grainne is particularly interested in helping individuals identify patterns established in the past that may no longer serve them in the present, supporting meaningful and lasting change.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, alongside a BSc in Acupuncture from the Melbourne College of Natural Medicine in Australia. Alongside her clinical work, Grainne has lectured on the benefits of acupuncture, particularly in relation to fertility and pregnancy. She has extensive experience supporting clients who are trying to conceive, and believes acupuncture can play a significant role in reducing stress and addressing emotional blockages.
Grainne works with a range of issues, including anxiety, trauma and PTSD, and self-esteem. She integrates multiple therapeutic modalities into her practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), tailoring her approach to meet each client’s individual needs.
