Mr Frank Harkin is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with over fifteen years of experience, specialising in supporting individuals with addictions, anxiety, depression, workplace issues, bullying, stress, burnout, and low self-esteem. He is an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and Addiction Counsellors of Ireland, for which he has also served as a board member. He has been an accredited counsellor since 2013.

Mr Harkin holds a BA in Applied Addiction Studies from the Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, alongside a Diploma in Management from the University of Limerick and a Diploma in Safety, Health and Welfare at Work from University College Dublin. His professional development is further supported by extensive training in approaches such as person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and Socratic questioning.

His professional background includes counselling roles at Living Life Counselling Centre in Bray, It’s Good2Talk in Mullingar, and as an Aftercare Facilitator with Aiseiri. In addition, he has provided Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services, working with clients across a wide range of personal and workplace challenges.

Mr Harkin is currently in private practice at Doctor365 in Mullingar, where he offers confidential and supportive counselling services. He provides flexible appointment options and offers special rates for students, the unemployed, and those on low incomes. His approach places emphasis on building trust, fostering resilience, and helping clients develop practical strategies to address their challenges and improve overall well-being.
