Dr Farah Ibrahim

Dr Farah Ibrahim is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a specialised focus on medical retina and diabetic eye disease. After earning her medical degree from the University of Leicester in the UK, she moved to Ireland to complete her specialist ophthalmic training with the Irish College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Ibrahim spent eight years as a leading specialist at the National Diabetic Treatment Clinic within the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital, where she honed her expertise in managing complex retinal pathologies. She holds a key position as a founding member of the clinical team at Veonet Ireland and serves on the group's prestigious Medical Board, bringing together strong clinical expertise with operations and governance.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr Ibrahim is recognised for her leadership in multidisciplinary care. She has successfully established and led specialised clinics across Ireland, including the Community Paediatric Ophthalmology Team in Ballincollig. As a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO), she is deeply dedicated to improving outcomes for patients with diabetic eye disease through clinical innovation and compassionate, patient-focused care.
