Ms Emma McEvoy is a paediatric Occupational Therapist and the founder of Croí Óg Occupational Therapy. She works with children and adolescents, taking a neuroaffirmative approach that recognises and celebrates each young person's unique strengths while supporting them to thrive in their daily lives.
Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Trinity College Dublin and has gained extensive experience across the Health Service Executive's Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) as well as private settings. She has completed additional training in Sensorimotor Art Therapy, mindfulness, and child and teen yoga, enabling her to provide holistic, evidence-informed care.
Emma supports young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, sensory processing differences and movement differences, with a particular interest in working alongside neurodivergent children and adolescents. She has particular experience working with young people with ADHD, to support them in enhancing their quality of life through support with regulation, organisation, executive functioning skills or managing overwhelm. She understands how these challenges can affect school participation, relationships, sleep, participation in meaningful activities, and the development of independence and identity.
Through comprehensive assessments, individualised interventions, and school supports, Emma empowers young people to recognise their strengths, build resilience, and develop the confidence and skills to create a meaningful, fulfilling life that aligns with who they are.
