Ms Edel Bose

Ms. Edel Bose is an experienced Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy, complemented by postgraduate diplomas in Gestalt Therapy, Eating Disorders, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Sand Therapy, and Art Therapy. She has advanced training in body psychotherapy, including Sensorimotor Trauma Training (Levels 1 and 2) and Hakomi Body-Centred Psychotherapy, and has completed specialised trauma courses such as Dublin Rape Crisis trauma training, as well as training in addiction.

She is an accredited member and supervisor with the Irish Association for Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP), and an associate member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP).

Edel provides counselling and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, and facilitates support groups and workshops. Her integrative approach combines CBT, psychodynamic, person-centred, and mindfulness-based body psychotherapy (Sensorimotor/Hakomi) techniques, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs.

She works with a broad spectrum of issues, including anxiety, panic, depression, loss and bereavement, childhood and adult trauma, sexual abuse, post-traumatic stress, eating disorders, addictions, alcoholism, self-esteem, personal growth, workplace issues, career transitions, and general counselling. Her approach emphasises empathy, personal empowerment, and holistic healing.
