Prof. Donal Reddan

Professor Reddan is a Consultant Nephrologist and Honorary Professor. A graduate of University College Dublin, Professor Reddan completed specialist training in Dublin and a residency in Pittsburgh before undertaking a fellowship in Nephrology and becoming a Biomedical Scholar at Duke University, North Carolina. During this time, Professor Reddan also completed a Masters in Health Sciences. Professor Reddan subsequently joined the faculty at Duke University's Division of Nephrology and the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI). Professor Reddan returned to Galway in 2003. Professor Reddan is extensively published and has been involved in the design and implementation of a number of large clinical trials in chronic kidney disease, CKD associated anaemia and CKD associated cardiovascular risk.

Professor Reddan is a longstanding council member, former vice president and recent treasurer of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
