Deirdre Dunne

Deirdre Dunne is a highly experienced Dental Hygienist and the Practice Principal at Brandon Dental, bringing more than two decades of expertise to her role. She began her career after earning a Diploma from University College Cork in 2004, spending the following 11 years in a prominent Cork dental practice. There, she not only developed her clinical skills but also took on the responsibilities of practice manager, overseeing a busy five-surgery clinic offering a wide range of treatments including implants, veneers, orthodontics, crowns, dentures, and facial aesthetics such as fillers and Botox.

After a brief career break in 2015, Deirdre returned to education and achieved an Honours Diploma in Dental Hygiene from University College Cork in 2018. This qualification opened doors to diverse professional roles, including positions at the Apple Wellness Centre in Hollyhill and Bandon Dental, where she further refined her clinical expertise.

In 2021, an opportunity to acquire Bandon Dental emerged, and with her extensive industry experience and strong leadership background, Deirdre took on the role of Practice Principal. She continues to build on her deep understanding of dental policies and procedures, maintaining a strong commitment to ongoing learning, professional development, and delivering exceptional patient care.
