Ms Claire McGroarty

Claire McGroarty is a Sports Therapist specialising in Neuromuscular Therapy and Oncology Massage, based in Donegal. Neuromuscular therapy combines both clinical massage and physical therapy to achieve results based on how the nervous system influences muscle function. Her practice focuses on providing care for those affected by a variety of conditions and symptoms, in particular for those following oncology treatment, suffering with chronic pain or injury. Claire’s approach is evidence-based and she provides a thoughtful, tailored experience for each person she works with.

Claire is a member of the Association for Neuromuscular and Massage Therapists. She began her training in 2006 in Philadelphia, where she trained in massage therapy and completed a specialist course in Basic Neuromuscular Integration. Following this, she developed her practice further by completing additional training at the National Training Centre in Dublin in Neuromuscular Physical Therapy. Her qualifications have ensured that her approach to therapy is evidence-based and remains up to date with the latest clinical research. Claire also obtained advanced specialist training in oncology massage for cancer patients at the OBUS School of Healing Therapies, and due to her dedication to improving her work, she carried out additional training in 2023 under experts in the field.
