Caroline is a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a wide range of experience. As part of her work, she spent 8 years as one of the first therapists in the Dancing Soul in Pearse Street and in Monksland. As part of this she was able to develop her skills to become the psychotherapist she is today.
As part of her ongoing training and development, Caroline spent a year in a placement in Castlerea (Roscommon women ‘s network), working with women who had experienced domestic violence at every level (physical, sexual and psychological). This has provided her with particular skills in managing patients who have been through these experiences.
Caroline works hard to ensure that she creates a calm and safe environment, understanding that it can be hard to make the decision to come and see a therapist for the first time. She is adept at making her patients feel at ease, allowing them to open up and explore their issues within a non-judgemental environment.
Caroline is passionate about giving her patients the tools to help them through the journey of life. She uses a wider range of treatment modalities including art therapy, the psychodynamic approach and CBT.

Very welcoming and friendly environment. Very happy for my son to attend. Very flexible with time slots
I came to see Ms Caroline Walker after having a head injury which greatly affected me. I was in 6th year and struggled significantly with the after affects, particularly school and study which was important to me. Caroline was very understanding and taught me many valuable skills, including how to be compassionate to myself. She was always so kind and helped me greatly
I have been attending Caroline's practice for the past two years as part of my mandatory training for college to become a therapist. On a professional level I have learnt a great deal from her and she has helped me with my anxiety issues and develop my personal growth. Caroline has been a Therapist for several years which can be clearly seen in her practice. She has used CBT Gestalt Therapy, Dream analysis and Personal Centred Approach when appropriate in my sessions which I found helpful. I would highly recommend Caroline as a Therapist.
I have been attending Caroline for a few months now and she has been a god send for me, she is excellent professional, really makes you feel relaxed and very easy to talk with and explains everything so well. I would highly recommend Caroline
Very approachable, understanding and kind. Challenging when needed to be. Greatly improved my child’s confidence and self esteem

Caroline provided a positive, safe and non-judgemental space for me to talk. Her empathy and experience has provided me with the resilience to deal with any issue I may face. Highly recommend
I have been seeing Caroline on a regular basis now for around 18 months and while initially I wasn’t sure if i needed to speak with someone, on reflection it has had a remarkably positive impact on my life. An extremely caring and non-judgmental environment has helped me work though areas of my current life and past which I had been avoiding, aiding me to grow as a person which has now begun to reflect positively in my personal and professional life to a degree which I never thought possible. Simply put, I can’t imagine where I would be in life if I had not reached out to Caroline 18 months ago.
Caroline creates an open and non-judgemental space where I feel safe to talk. Caroline is compassionate and also very insightful, which has helped me to make positive changes in my life and form healthy coping strategies. Caroline also has a great knowledge of ASD which has been an added bonus as she has really helped me to understand and navigate a recent family diagnosis. I highly recommend Caroline to anyone seeking support from a therapist.
I regularly refer parents, particularly those with children who are neurodiverse or who have experienced trauma, to Caroline. She provides excellent care and support, and I have no hesitation in recommending her.
