About Dr. Aran Tomac

He obtained his medical degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, and subsequently pursued specialist training in general psychiatry, which he completed in 2006. Dr. Tomac further honed his skills by completing specialised training in child and adolescent psychiatry in 2011.

For more than a decade, Dr. Tomac served as a clinical lecturer at the University of Zagreb, where he imparted his knowledge to students at the Schools of Medicine and the School of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences. Additionally, he holds the esteemed position of adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate Entry Medical School, University of Limerick. Throughout his career, Dr. Tomac has been actively involved in scientific research, consistently publishing his findings and presenting at professional conferences on both national and international platforms.

Dr. Tomac completed his PhD in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with a specific focus on adolescent self-harm behaviours. Since 2016, he has been serving as a consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (Community CAMHS) and as a General Psychiatrist in the Republic of Ireland.

As a member of esteemed organisations such as the Medical Council of Ireland, the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland, and the General Medical Council, Dr. Tomac is committed to upholding the highest standards of psychiatric care. His multilingual proficiency in English, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian, and German enables him to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
