Ms Angie O’Brien is a qualified Art Psychotherapist and the Chair of the Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists (IACAT). She holds a first-class Honours Master’s Degree in Art Therapy from the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork, alongside an Honours Degree in Architecture from the Bolton Street College of Technology.
Ms O’Brien provides clinical art psychotherapy, drawing on a multi-disciplinary background in architecture, fashion design, and interior architecture across Dublin, London, Paris, and Berlin. Her practice uses the creative process as a primary therapeutic medium, providing a textured, visual language for patients to express psychological struggles, process emotional pain, and explore self-identity.
Her clinical focus centres on women’s mental health, helping individuals to navigate psychological challenges, personal life transitions, and broader social stressors. By combining clinical psychology principles with artistic practice, Ms O’Brien establishes structured, supportive therapeutic spaces that facilitate self-discovery, emotional regulation, and psychological growth.
