My own GP's reluctance to move me up through antibiotic protocol had me suffering through six months of persistent chest infection(s). It was obvious the repeated use of penicillin options were not working. I have sleep apnoea and use a CPAP machine, my biennial checkup led to CT scan and bronchoscope which showed "no infection". I was ridiculously tired, lost time at work, couldn't participate in home activities when I was 'well enough' to work. My employer was suggesting referral to Occupational Health because of illness / abscence. I shared this information with dooctor.ie, they listened and moved me up the antibiotic protocol and helped me solve the problem. I need to quit smoking and antibiotic resistance is a real problem. However I really resent that my own GP's interpretation of the protocol meant that I had very poor quality of life over the six months of their treatment. The Dooctor.ie GP recognised the issue and dealt with it.
I brought my son today and we were both very happy with the doctor and service, highly recommend.
Spoke to a lovely Doctor over the phone. Got advice and a prescription sent to my pharmacy. A wonderful service, thank you.
My experience with the GP initially was helpful, being referred to Boumount hospital.I was provided with appropriate medication by hospital. Went back to my GP for more as they greatly improved my condition. When I phoned GP a week later I was told there would be no more medication, I am unable to return to work and question the professionalism of the GP.I was given misinformation by the receptionist and the pharmacy said this was the wrong advice.I am now left in severe pain, spasms and uncontrollably nerve shaking..the medication by the hospital was working. This is affecting me emotionally and physically and at risk of losing my job..
The doctor was excellent, caring and efficient Tge only issue I have is that I would like a time for my appointment and a slot I would also like a confirmation e mail o checked my online banking to see if my registration had been successful . I did receive an e mail from JOT FORM ? The whole thing is just a bit confusing and needs to be improved I called at 9.20 pm as the website and phone message said the service was open till /0 . Io was hoping that I would have a consultation that night or at least an e mail to say it would be the morning. So that’s just a bit vague The website could have a bit more information And frequency asked questions Overall the dr was efficient I’m feeling better They send a prescription to my pharmacy immediately which I really appreciated being quite unwell . The admin just needs a little tightening up Thank you
Very positive experience, I would highly recommend this service and return if necessary. Great team and doctor.
Very easy to fill in form. I was called within 5 minutes. Thorough but not excessive questioning and prescription was sent to pharmacy immediately after consult. Excellent service, thank you.
