My consultation with Miss Bhal was exceptional. It can be very difficult to attend a clinic when you have gynae problems and are feeling vulnerable or worried. Going through peri-menopause can make you feel very confused and lost. I had delayed seeking advice, partially because I rarely have time to sort out appointments for myself, but also because I felt embarrassed about my symptoms and was concerned about being judged and examined. I wish I had made an appointment sooner, as Mrs Bhal was so friendly, professional and understanding. She put me at ease and it was much easier to talk about my concerns. She respected my dignity at all times, gave helpful explanations, provided written information to take home and asked for my contribution to a treatment plan. She asked if I had any questions and took a very holistic approach, which I really appreciated. I liked the way she uses evidence-based medicine to help make joint decisions and her wealth of experience also shines through. I will be recommending her to all of my friends, family and colleagues.
