Connecting healthcare across continents: Doctify’s global community growth

UAE event (1)

Recently, Doctify hosted two landmark networking events – one in Dubai, UAE and one in Melbourne, Australia – that collectively brought together hundreds of healthcare providers, leaders, and executives from major hospitals and clinics across both regions.

The goal of both evenings was identical and deeply meaningful: to create a space where clinicians can connect, share experiences, and build the professional relationships that are essential for strengthening patient care globally.

The value of global connection in a changing landscape

Healthcare in both the UAE and Australia is experiencing extraordinary growth and rapid evolution. From the dynamic, rapidly expanding ecosystem in the Middle East to the established, yet increasingly specialised, Australian market, both landscapes are being reshaped by new technologies, expanding specialties, and rising patient expectations.

In this fast-moving environment, having a vibrant community of like-minded professionals who consistently put patients at the centre of their work is more valuable than ever. These events, including our inaugural Australian event in Melbourne, reflected a shared, international commitment to this principle.

The result in both locations was an energising gathering of forward-thinking clinicians, leaders, and innovators committed to improving how people access and experience healthcare.

A night built around meaningful connection

Each evening was designed to be both purposeful and enjoyable. The relaxed settings encouraged cross-specialty conversations, sparking new dialogue among peers who ordinarily would not cross paths. Many attendees described the events as a rare opportunity to unwind while still making valuable connections that bridge gaps between clinics, hospitals, and specialties.

Introducing a new era of digital connection

Our leadership teams anchored the evenings by sharing the founding story and the challenge that first inspired the platform: how difficult it can be for patients to understand who the right clinician is, and why transparency and trust are crucial.

  • In the UAE, Doctify’s Co-Founder and Medical Director, Dr Suman Saha, opened the event.
  • In Melbourne, our first Australian event was led by Gary White, Director of Growth.

Across both gatherings, our speakers teased the new Doctify Connect App, developed with clinicians and for clinicians. The app will enable healthcare professionals to:

  • Connect with colleagues
  • Build referral pathways
  • Recommend peers with confidence
  • Strengthen networks across specialties

The app is designed to support clinicians in delivering better and more coordinated care – mirroring the exact purpose of the events themselves, but on a global digital scale.

Why connection is essential in modern healthcare

Whether in Melbourne or Dubai, clinicians rely on trusted peers to:

  • Navigate complex patient needs
  • Access specialised expertise
  • Coordinate across disciplines
  • Build patient-centred referral pathways
  • Share insights and innovate

These events helped close gaps between specialties, organisations, and regions, ultimately supporting better and more informed patient care across different healthcare systems. The balance between professionalism and ease ensured that attendees connected authentically and built relationships that will continue to shape the healthcare community long after the event.

Looking ahead

The combined momentum and energy from both the UAE and Australia made one thing clear: these were more than networking events. They reflected a universal commitment to building a more connected, collaborative, and transparent healthcare ecosystem.

As healthcare continues to develop at remarkable speed worldwide, Doctify will continue creating spaces, both digitally and in person, where professionals can build meaningful networks and support better care for every patient.

Because when clinicians are connected, healthcare improves. And when a community comes together across continents, everyone benefits.
