I came to Gus with a calf injury which had stopped me running eight weeks out from a marathon. Gus diagnosed the issue, helped me strengthen the muscles to prevent it returning and gave me a training plan that got me back on track. He’s knowledgeable, practical and realistic. He understood I didn’t want a zero risk plan - but to get to the event and complete it (which I did with no pain and a time I’m delighted with). Kathryn helped me through my journey of healing an annoying running injury I had for almost 1 year. From the first session, Kathryn was really good at explaining what the issue was, what was causing my discomfort with my hip, and what the plan should be to tackle it and what the alternative would be if we could not fix in the duration that we planed for. We then proceeded with the plan we had agreed for, and with a fortnightly meeting and a lot of exercises/stretches that Kathryn recommended I managed to fix my issue. When I started with Kathryn I could not run more than 10-15 minutes without my leg giving up. After 2 months, I managed to heal my issue and run a half marathon with my partner at Hackney half.
