I am very happy with my surgery and so glad I found Dr Orfaniotis. In the past I have had mini lifts and a breast lift and lipo but my lovely surgeon in Belgium retired and I was left looking for an alternative. I researched various doctors online and came across Dr Orfaniotis. I had a deep plane face, neck, and lip lift. I am now just shy of three months post op and still improving. I don’t have many “technical” photos so will just share my real life photos and experience here for anyone considering this! The first photo is prior to the op and you can see my lovely double chin. In photos you would be amazed how well I could hide this and I am now happy to say that I have given away all my roll necks. I must admit it was not until after the op that I realised how much I must have been subconsciously hiding it! The second profile pic is about a week after the op. You can see the improved profile and also some tape under my chin which covered the incision site. The third photo (close up of face) is also about a week after the op just so you can see the lip lift scar. This is improving all the time and frankly is barely noticeable anyway. The photo in the pink top is about 6 weeks post – no double chin. The photo with the lights and blue scribbles was taken a couple of weeks ago – I don’t think I ever had a jawline like that. LOL! And finally the last photo is me with my dog a couple of days ago – it shows a front view so you can see that there is no trace of surgery and no weirdness in terms of pulling/tightness etc. I have been well during recovery so no issues and nothing unexpected. Dr Orfaniotis is great, his surgical aftercare from Dr Asadi is wonderful, and Lian from his office is very friendly and efficient. I have been so impressed both with his skills and the entire process. So much so that I have booked a breast reduction and lipo procedure. He is a very good doctor who is extremely intelligent and I am just so glad I found him as I had such a panicked moment when my previous surgeon retired. All in all, very very good! I recommend! And now that I found him he’s stuck with me for life! Poor man!

Im a nervous patient and think things through very much before taking any decisions. Dan recognised this without saying anything, he was very patient with me. Answered all my questions that I had written down. He was very calming and naturally put me at ease with his kind manner. He is very thorough, caring and confident in his explanations, and gives you space to allow time for more questions if needed. Has a great sense of humour and pays attention to each individual needs with the upmost respect. I am very pleased with my results and was excited for Dan to see the smile on my face.

Very helpful and good at explaining it all

From the moment one discovers Jonathan (mine was from online research where many routes triangulated to him) I believe one feels in safe and superbly reassuring hands!. I felt Jonathan's interest in my concern was genuine, listening with concern and empathy whilst applying his clearly vast plastic surgery experience to understand the treatment protocols that would work best for me. The result of our initial consultation discussions meant I came away with a real anatomical understanding of the root causes of my concern along with a full explanation of the prescribed procedure and how/why it would work. This left me feeling there was a way forward and I was in the hands of someone who spent a lifetime perfecting his craft and I could relax in that knowledge. The post consultation follow up with reading materials and access to both Jonathan and his team put me at ease in readiness for my surgery with all the responses to my questions clearly thought through and patiently explained. I could also then clearly plan my work/personal diary around the treatment and recovery plan. This proved to be spot in hindsight! I have to admit that having had general anaesthesia before I was actually more confident in using this protocol for any surgery but when Jonathan explained why his clinic uses twilight anaesthesia for my treatment type (where you are at least aware of your surrounding vs being fully 'knocked out') I was happy to explore further and see if i could get ultimately confident with this approach as it of course feels different. Jonathan and his team encouraged me to read other's reviews and I chatted to a patient for their direct review. I was also reassured by the fact that Jonathan and his anaesthetist have conducted hundreds of operations using twilight and I thought to myself, had there ever been issues with this approach to an elective surgery he would indeed never use it! I am happy to inform that twilight anaesthesia really is as good as general anaesthetic - I think for this type of procedure it is perhaps better. The only notion of pain is the initial pin prick in the hand at 1/10 (which occurs for any type of surgery) and then I found myself in a completely blissed-out state not really conscious of what was going on. In addition, of course there is local nerve block anaesthesia applied all around the treatment areas so there is no sensation whatsoever of pain coupled with my mind being completely 'floating' and relaxed. The true advantage of twilight became even more apparent after the procedure as I came to very quickly, fully lucid and able to eat food within 20 minutes! Unlike general anaesthetic, i had no horrid sore throat and sick/nausea feeling for several hours after. Within an hour or so I was ready to be discharged and my head was clear for the recovery process. It was also explained by Jonathan that using twilight would aid recovery as it is less taxing on the system and allows for more of the body's resources to be channelled to the healing process. I am now four weeks into recovery and can go about my life fully (and have been able to for some days!). It has been reassuring that the team are proactive in setting up periodic consults with Jonathan to review progress at key landmark points and again I had the feeling of being in caring and highly professional hands by someone who wants the best outcomes technically and emotionally for his patients. Of course there is some residual redness and swelling but this again was explained, is expected and I know will fully subside in the coming weeks. I look forward to seeing the final results and have no doubt based on what I can see so far they will be fully natural, enhancing and refreshing me in the most natural way with any evidence of work inconspicuous!

Mr Iqbal was brilliant, he explained the procedure well. I wasn’t sure whether I needed to lose more weight first but he was right. Having the surgery when I did inspired and motivated me to lose my final stone in weight within 3 months. I’m so happy with the final result, it really has been a life saver for me. Mr. James is a highly skilled surgeon; professional and honest with a likeable and easy manner. I went to see Matt to discuss a facelift. He explained fully what the surgery would involve and made me feel relaxed and confident about the whole process. I thought "this is the person for me, I can trust this guy". My surgery went very well. I was astonished how quickly I recovered. Swelling and bruising where minimal with hardly any pain, just mild discomfort. I also had fat transfer to marionette lines, and nasolabial folds. Jowls gone, and neck looked tighter. No more "square" face, or saggy cheeks, I felt and looked so much younger, fresher and happier. It's knocked years off my face. Not bad when you're 71. If, like me, you've been dithering about surgery for years, rest assured Matt has the expertise to attain your goal. Matt and his team have done a superb job. Special thanks to Tracey for "holding my hand" and giving me advice. I cannot recommend Matt James and his team highly enough. Thank you all.

Mr Fitzgerald O'Connor, is such an amazing surgeon. He is so nice and explains everything to you so you understand it. He give you a full brake down of everything and tells you all the risks. He let's you go away and think about what he said so you have time to take it in and digest the information. I am neurodiverse so this is a great help to me, you make the decision. You can ask as many questions as you like and he sees you as well when you have problems or issues and sloves them. I am so happy with the results of my surgery.

He is a really nice nan with a lovely bedside manner. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

I had experienced a botched rhinoplasty back in Dubai and no surgeon in the U.K. was willing to perform a revision rhinoplasty on myself. Dr Ion is the only surgeon who not only agreed to it but also performed an excellent revision rhinoplasty.His revision rhinoplasty was so good that no one can tell if I ever had a rhinoplasty. I am really really happy with my results.
