I think the whole thing was excellent from start to finish. Compared to what colleagues have done previously, I had colleagues off for four months but I was back in no time. The surgeon has been highly recommended by everyone including the staff.

Mr Gidwani is a patient and experienced consultant who treated my significant wrist injury with care. He is very professional, detailed, and timely, with an excellent beside manner that will put you at ease. His medical secretaries (Angela and Sally) are also extremely efficient and helpful, and had gone above and beyond to make an otherwise stressful experience manageable. Excellent rapport on risks and potential benefits of treatment and the time required for therapy and recuperation after faciectomy operation. A complex operation was undertaken and the potential for recurrence of the problem discussed and understood by the patient. I presented late with complex and widespread cords for Dupuytrens disease. I cannot be more pleased with the result, which has enabled a return to almost normal use of the hand and relieved discomfort in the joint areas. Dupuytrens disease is liable to return because of the nature of the disease and is not a reflection of the expertise of the surgeon but of the physiology of the particular patient. We were able to discuss options and timing of a return, should this be the case.
