Mr. Srinivasan Subramaniam offers a free full (1 hour) no obligation initial consultation for his cataract and refractive lens surgery patients. He follows the insurers fee schedule for all his insured patients.
Mr. Subramaniam is an extremely experienced consultant ophthalmologist based at The Park Hospital and Spire Hospital in Nottingham. He has a special interest in complex cataract surgery and laser eye surgery. With years of training from centres of excellence both in the UK and India, he is one of few surgeons nationwide who have experience in performing laser cataract surgery (femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, or femtophaco).
Mr. Subramaniam was one of the first to use innovative technologies in cataract and refractive surgery. He has extensive training and experience in using various premium lenses, including multifocal lenses, trifocal lenses, and accommodative lenses. Additionally, he was one of the first to undertake the assessment in laser refractive surgery conducted by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is now an assessor for this procedure himself. He routinely performs LASIK and LASEK procedures as well as trains junior ophthalmology residents.

I was very worried having acute angle-closure glaucoma in one eye with both eyes also requiring cataract surgery. Mr Subramaniam put me at ease explaining the procedure clearly in a caring, professional, reassuring manner. Having had complex cataract surgery in both eyes at different times both with general anaesthetic the results were incredible. Words cannot express my gratitude to Mr Subramaniam. A top surgeon whom I would definitely recommend.

Mr Srinivasan Subramaniam is simply the best Opthalmologist that anyone could wish for. He is first rate in all areas of his profession and goes above and beyond to reassure you. I would highly recommend him. I was a very nervous patient and he put me completely at ease. I am more than happy to return for my second eye and with no trepidation. I feel like a miracle has been performed as I have perfect eyesight without the aid of glasses which I have worn since the age of 11 years. What more can I say. If you have Cataracts/Myopia or any other eye problem you can rest assured that Mr Srinivasan Subramaniam is a fantastic and talented surgeon. I have every confidence in him and thank him very much for changing my life.

Brilliant service ,explained everything fully .I was frightened of having it done ,but Mr Submaranian eased my fears .Result is brilliant I was 4.25 sight .Now I can see my computer with no glasses, also drive without glasses .Thank you nurses and all staff brilliant .
