Last week, we held our second GP event at Google HQ in partnership with MyLocumManager and Echo. The event was one ins a series of inspirational CPD gatherings for busy General Practitioners and featured talks from three exceptional Dermatologists.

The event rundown

Continuing Professional Development can sometimes feel like a chore, a glorified box-ticking exercise. We’re on a mission to change this. By curating expert-led talks in outstanding venues, we want you to be inspired, learn something new and, most importantly, have fun.

This particular event took place at Google’s striking King’s Cross HQ, where leading Dermatologists Dr Nisith Sheth, Dr Karolina Gholam and Dr Nav Paul discussed skin disease and what a GP needs to look out for. Those who attended stuck around after the talk for some serious networking, with drinks and tapas kindly provided by Google’s chefs!

This free event for registered GP was worth 1.5 CPD points and the talks were as follows:

  • Managing difficult cases of Acne
  • How not to miss a Melanoma
  • Career as a GP with a specialty in Dermatology?

About our speakers

He holds a substantive consultant post here and helps train junior doctors and the honorary consultants who visit from external departments to gain further experience from the UK and abroad.

Dr Karolina Gholam is a Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist based at Great Ormond Street Hospital and one of only two doctors dually accredited in Paediatrics and Dermatology in the United Kingdom. Regarded as a leader within the field of Paediatric Dermatology, her areas of speciality are Inflammatory Dermatosis (including Eczema and Psoriasis), Birthmarks, Acne and Adolescent Dermatology.

Dr Nav Paul is dual qualified as a GP and Aesthetic Physician and founded Medical Skin Lab based in Harley Street. Dr Paul also works as a GPSI in Dermatology, CCG Clinical Lead and Clinical Author.
