I could not fault Mr Stavros Karamanakos at all. He made me feel at ease and was very informative of the procedure and what to expect. If any issues arise again (be it what I initially saw him for or something new) I will see if I can see Mr Karamanakos for treatment, as I've not received such a high standard before.

I was suffering with gallstones (and afterwards discovered my gallbladder was in a worst condition than expected), having visited NHS hospitals several times but always being sent back home post MRI and blood tests. With my first appointment I came with various paperwork from various NHS hospitals. Mr Stavros reviewed my documentation, explained the situation and mentioned he would like me to have the operation as soon as possible. He fitted me in within 2-3 weeks of my initial appointment which I was very happy with as at this stage my life was a misery. My operation took longer and was more complicated as the gallbladder was heavily inflamed leading to 'adhesion' with other organs and therefore obscuring itself but this did not deter Mr Stavros who operated on me successfully despite this 'ambush'. I had my 1 month post op check-up today and my quality of life is back to normal. No more worrying if I will be having a 4 - 12 hour attack post eating anything, no other symptoms (which it is now clear was due to it adversely other organs it had stuck to). I am healing well and the outlook is all positive with no future issues expected. I am very happy with the level of service and dedication Mr Stavros showed me and would happily recommend him for any issues you are having with gallstones/gallbladder.
