Dr Panicos Shangaris is a highly skilled obstetrician and maternal-fetal medicine specialist based in London. In addition to his role at King’s College Hospital, Dr. Shangaris provides private consultations. On Mondays, he offers private pregnancy ultrasound scans at North Middlesex Hospital and virtual consultations. He is also available at the Westminster Women's Clinic in Earl’s Court for consultations, private ultrasound scans, and private maternity bookings for private delivery at King's College Hospital and The Portland Hospital, ensuring personalised care for expectant mothers. Dr Shangaris graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland before specialising in London. He also has a Master’s degree and a PhD in Fetal Medicine from University College London. Fees for private care at King's College Hospital & The Portland Hospital

Obstetric fees

Dr Shangaris delivers at King’s College Hospital (Denmark Hill) and the Portland Hospital (Great Portland Street). Antenatal appointments can be arranged at King’s College Hospital or from June at Westminster Women’s Clinic (Earl’s Court).

Complete package- from week 8: £11,950

(Includes Nuchal, 20-week anomaly and growth scans)

20-week package: £10,450

(includes 20-week anomaly and growth scans)

28-week package: £9,150

(includes growth scans)

36-week delivery package: £7,550

(includes two antenatal, one postnatal appointment and a growth scan)

*Please note that the above fees only cover Dr Shangaris’ fees and the hospital will charge separate fees for delivery depending on the birth (vaginal vs caesarean) and length of stay.

Following the initial antenatal appointment, if you wish to be booked with Dr Shangaris, a deposit of 50% of his fees is required to be paid by the 20th week of your pregnancy. The final balance of the fees is due by the 36th week of your pregnancy.

For patients covered under medical insurance, please note that most UK insurance companies do not cover maternity care. In these cases, the fees should be settled in full before delivery, and we will then help you recover any funds from your insurers.
